We’re less than 10 hours from the launch of our live game development show on Twitch.tv, and we’ve saved the best character introduction for last (at least, according to the character). Meet B. Grimm, our producer, the man who sucked us into his lonely future in order to make him a game.
B. Grimm: “Now now, I might be the producer, but I’m just one of the guys. Sure, I’m the one of the guys that controls everything, but there’s no need to focus on that.”
So, why exactly have you abducted Eric, Steve the Cactus, Bob the Programmer, and Dotty the Artist to make you a game?
B. Grimm: “Well, I could say it was because I was bored living alone at the end of the universe, but that wouldn’t sound good on the back of a box, so I’ll say because it’s what the players wanted! What the fans want, we give ’em! Make sure to put a few ‘Wows’ around that.”
Alright then, why abduct Eric, Steve, Bob, and Dotty?
B. Grimm: Well, Steve is the man, the cactus man. He’s a known quantity, a star director, the cactus you can always count on to get things done. And Bob, good old Bob, he’s been around since programming began – no one knows how to talk to a computer like him, or to circumvent the Y2K bug like him. Then Dotty, she’s been waiting for this chance for her art skills to shine, two thousand years and change to be precise. All that delicious angst has just been waiting for a chance to burst out onto the scene
And Eric?
B. Grimm: Who?
Your lead game designer?
B. Grimm: Oh, that guy. Yeah, he’s the charity case of the group. I figure with Steve in charge, Bob coding, and Dotty drawing, Eric can play at being game designer, whatever that is. Now, if you don’t mind, I have to get busy trimming my beard of fire for the show’s premiere.
Of course! And with our producer, B. Grimm, we’ve now introduced the whole team. Others are likely to pop in along the way, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated when they do.
